Anatel says too soon to talk of 5G auction postponement

Friday 10 April 2020 | 10:25 CET | News
Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) is "closely monitoring" the effects of the coronavirus pandemic to decide whether to postpone the auction of 5G frequencies, claiming it is premature to discuss the matter now. A source from the regulator told Reuters that it is still possible to organize the auction by the end of 2020, adding that the auction could be postponed to the first two months of 2021 "if the scenario evolves".
