Anatel signs agreement with ITU on satellite interference

Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) has signed a cooperation agreement with the International Telecommunication Union for measurements and assessments related to interference in satellite networks. Anatel owns and operates the Satellite Monitoring Station (EMSat/Anatel) in Rio de Janeiro, which can be operated remotely and is capable of monitoring the technical-operational parameters of the networks in the C, Ku and Ka bands.
