Android phones failing twice as much as iPhones - study

Android-based devices failed at twice the rate of iOS-based devices in the second quarter of 2017, according to the Q2 2017 State of Mobile Device Performance and Health report released by Blancco Technology Group. Defining failure as crashes, battery charging and screen issues as well as headphone and camera problems, the report said Android devices had a global failure rate of 25 percent in the April to June period, more than double the 12 percent failure rate posted by iOS devices. Specifically, the study indicated that battery charge was one of the top performance issues (11%) for Android
