Android share of UK smartphone market falls in Q1

Android-powered devices accounted for 56.2 percent of UK smartphone sales in Q1 2014, down from 58.4 percent in Q1 2013, with iOS devices accounting for 32.1 percent, up from 28.7 percent, according to the latest smartphone sales data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. The Windows Phone market share increased from 7 percent in Q1 2013 to 9.1 percent in Q1 2014, with BlackBerry's market share down to 2.3 percent, from 5.1 percent a year earlier.
