Android takes 68% of smartphone sales in US in Q1

Android accounted for 67.6 percent of smartphone sales in the US in the first quarter, followed by iOS at 30.7 percent, the latest study from Kantar revealed. Android also made year-on-year gains in other regions, though the trend is slowing. In the EU5 (UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain), Android accounted for 76.0 percent of smartphone sales, up 5.8 percentage points from 70.2 percent the year earlier. In China, Android's share accounted for 78.8 percent of sales.
