ANFR deploys centralised IT system for spectrum billing

Thursday 29 August 2013 | 08:54 CET | News
French spectrum agency ANFR will start using the French government's centralised IT system, Chorus, to bill operators for the frequencies they use. Chorus is being progressively rolled out through ministries and public bodies. It was delayed by the need to replace some IT systems. Invoices for 2013 spectrum use payments are due to be issued in October. Payment will also be sought for earlier years, with some frequency licence holders potentially getting billed as far back as 2008. Billing for 2014 will be sent before the end of 2013.
