Angola Cables to install data centre in Fortaleza

The Brazilian municipality of Fortaleza and Angola Cables, a company that brings together the top five Angolan telecommunications operators, signed a contract to set up a data centre and station for submarine cables. The site will host, among others, the South Atlantic Cable System (SACS), linking Angola to Brazil and the first to cross the South Atlantic, reports Teletime. The partnership also provides for the construction of the extension of the network to the US and Sao Paulo. In Brazil alone, the operator's investment will be approximately BRL 72 million.
