Angola gets finance for Brazil-US cable

Angola's Development Bank (BDA) will finance the installation of an underwater telecommunication cable linking Brazil and the US with USD 130 million (EUR 116 million), reports Jornal Economico. According to information from the Angolan Ministry of Finance, the agreement for this financing also foresees the construction of a data centre in Brazil. The project, in which Angola Cables is consortium leader, provides for the installation of an undersea fibre optic cable linking Angola to Brazil and then to the US, to strengthen communications.
