Angola Telecom sees customer debt grow

Angola Telecom is faced with a lack of liquidity and accumulated losses, debts to suppliers and huge debts outstanding at its main customers, reports Jornal de Angola. According to Management Committee member Bartolomeu Pereira, customer debt amounts to around AOA 5 billion (USD 16 million) and debtors include other operators, public institutions and companies. The number of active customers dropped from around 200,000 to some 30,000, of which 20,000 are individual customers.
