Angolan Cables and Nokia trial direct optical fibre link between Africa and US

Angola Cables and Nokia said that they have collaborated to provide a direct optical connection between Africa and North America. The route between Sangano in Angola and Boca Raton in Florida completed its final acceptance trial on 11 November and the network is now available for commercial use. The result is reduced latency between the continents and simplified service turn-up.
