Angolan government says telecom operator tender 'transparent'

The Angolan government has reiterated that the tender for the licensing of a fourth telecommunications operator in the country is "transparent", rejecting the demand to cancel the process made earlier this week by opposition party Unita, reports Lusa. The Ministry of of Telecommunications and Information Technologies added that the process of assigning a licence is public and is being conducted with strict respect for the principle of legality and the rules contained in the Public Contracts Law, General Regulations for Electronic Communications, the Strategic Plan on the Licensing Regime for
