Angolan regulator fines Zap for price increase

Monday 4 March 2019 | 10:35 CET | News
The Angolan Communications Institute (Inacom) fined pay-TV operator Zap for increasing the price of services, ordering the operator to return the difference to users, reports Jornal de Angola. The regulator reacted based on the statutory powers that regulate the provision of electronic communication services, ruling that the increase in prices constitutes a violation of the current legal regime. In January, Zap had announced an increase in service prices that was rejected by Inacom.
