Angola's Zap goes ahead with price increase

Wednesday 27 February 2019 | 16:22 CET | News
Angolan satellite TV distributor Zap has gone ahead with an increase in prices for its Mini, Max, Plus and Premium packages, reports Mercado.co.ao. The operator justifies the price hike with the devaluation of the local currency, which has created difficulties in paying its international suppliers. However, Zap's decision contradicts a decision of the Angolan Communications Institute (Inacom), which prohibited the operator from unilaterally changing the tariffs.
