AnywhereCommerce mPOS device gets Visa Ready certification

Canadian e-commerce and m-commerce services provider AnywhereCommerce has announced that its 'Walker' (Walker-ES01) mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) device has been approved for use with Visa cards by the Visa Ready Program. The Walker appliance supports both EMV Chip & Signature as well as magnetic stripe payment acceptance technologies. The device is approved for EMV L1 and L2 and uses AnywhereCommerce's patented audio-jack-attachable technology that transforms smartphones and other mobile devices into functioning mPOS services. Walker is compatible with iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8
