APAC consumer spending on technology to hit USD 468.8 bln in 2019

Asia Pacific consumer spending on technology will reach USD 468.8 billion in 2019, which represents an increase of 4.2 percent year-on-year, according to a report from IDC. Consumer purchases of traditional and emerging technologies will see a 5-year CAGR of 4 percent over the forecast period (2018/22). Traditional technologies, including PC devices, mobile phones, and mobile telecom services are expected to account for more than 97 percent of all consumer spending in 2019.
