APAC spending on security services to jump 12% to USD 23 billion in 2021

Spending on security hardware, services, and software in Asia Pacific will reach USD 23.1 billion this year, which represents an increase of 12.6 percent year-on-year, according to a report from IDC. Investments on security related products and services are expected to grow at a 5-year CAGR of 13.3 percent between 2019 and 2024, to USD 35 billion by 2024. This growth is expected to be boosted by increased cloud adoption, massive WFH migration, and transformation projects by enterprises to overcome operational challenges.
