Apollo offers EUR 1.2 billion for Telekom Srbija - report

US investment fund Apollo could be the frontrunner for the purchase of a 58 percent stake in Telekom Srbija, reports Vecernje Novosti. Apollo reportedly offered EUR 1.2 billion and plans to reorganize the Serbian operator before selling it in two years time to Deutsche Telekom. Although the Serbian government had said it was seeking EUR 1.5 billion for the majority stake, according to the latest information the price has now dropped to EUR 1.4 billion. A lot will depend on the social program proposed. This could cost around EUR 80 million, but could even reach EUR 200 million, according to
