Apple applies for use of UWB in Russia

Russian state radio frequencies commission SRFC has received an application from Apple for the use of UWB (Ultra-Wide Band) technology in the country, reports Izvestia. In Russia, the 2.85-10.6 GHz bands are allocated for this technology. Chips supporting UWB are installed on latest generation of iPhones.
