Apple hires former EPA head to oversee environmental policy

Apple has hired Lisa Jackson, who stepped down as head of the US Environmental Protection Agency earlier this year, to oversee its environmental policies, reports the Wall Street Journal. The news was announced by CEO Tim Cook at the opening interview of the D:All Things Digital conference. Jackson said in a company statement "I'm incredibly impressed with Apple's commitment to the environment and I'm thrilled to be joining the team".
