Apple objects to Norwegian political party registering same fruit in logo as brand

The manufacturer of the iPhone has objected to Norway's Progress Party (FrP) using an apple in its logo as a brand, according to an article on the website of newspaper Verdens Gang. The US smartphone and music streaming company claims the graphic of a piece of fruit could lead people to mix up Apple Inc with the Norwegian libertarian political party. FrP has been using an apple in its logo for 30 years.
