Apple takes back first place from Samsung for Q1 EMEA tablet market

Friday 31 May 2019 | 13:36 CET | News
Tablet shipments in EMEA fell 10.9 percent from the year before to 9.661 million units in the first quarter, on weak consumer demand, according to the latest study from IDC. The commercial segment continued to outperform the market but as it only represents a fifth of the overall, gains there were not unable to offset overall declines. Overall, the tablet market in Western Europe declined 7.7 percent year-on-year, while at Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (CEMA), it fell 15.8 percent.
