Apple to award USD 45 mln to Corning from Advanced Manufacturing Fund

Apple said it will be awarding USD 45 million from its Advanced Manufacturing Fund to Corning, which supplies glass for Apple iPhones, Apple Watches, and iPads. The funding will expand Corning's manufacturing capacity in the US and help push research into new ways of providing durability and a long-lasting product life. Apple said the money and goals build on "both Apple and Corning's deep commitment to protecting the environment."
