Apple has expanded the scheduled roll out of its Apple Music half-price discount to students, saying it will be bringing the discount to 82 more countries this month, Cnet reported. This means almost all the markets where the company is present will have the discount. The student memberships have now been extended to Israel, Malaysia, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal and Taiwan. More are set to follow. The plan was first introduced in 2016 for students at eligible colleges and universities. The 50 percent discount (single user) is available for up to 48 months, but these do not have to be continuous.  The service was initially restricted to Australia, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK and the US. It was then expanded to 30 more regions in late 2016, including Canada, China and India.
