Apple TV adds Disney, Vevo, Weather and Smithsonan channels

Apple has added programming from CBS, Walt Disney, Weather Channel and Vevo through a software update for the Apple TV web TV STB, writes Apple Insider. According to the company, there will be live and on-demand content from Disney Channel and Disney XD for pay TV service subscribers, while Vevo and the Weather Channel will not require a cable or satellite subscription. CBS and the Smithsonian Institution's Smithsonian Channel has also become available on the Apple TV box.
