AppliedMicro, Macom, BrPhotonics demo 100 Gbps tech

Applied Micro Circuits (AMCC), BrPhotonics and Macom Technology Solutions announced the successful demonstration of 100Gbps PAM4 single wavelength (lambda) technology over single mode fibre, claiming a world first. This platform features AppliedMicro's 16nm FinFET 100Gbps PAM4 DSP, BrPhotonics' newest ultra-high bandwidth TFPS modulator and Macom's high bandwidth, low noise transimpedance amplifier (TIA). The successful demonstration illustrates that the complete eco-system for 100Gbps over a single wavelength technology is ready today, with deployments expected in 2017. AppliedMicro,
