Apritel disputes Anacom report on rising telecom prices in Portugal

Between the end of 2009 and January 2021, Telecommunications prices in Portugal were up by 6.4 percent in January 2021 compared to the end of 2009, while they decreased by 9.9 percent in the wider EU, according to Eurostat data published by the National Communications Authority (Anacom). In January, prices in Portugal decreased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous month, while in the last 12 months, the average variation was a drop of 1.9 percent.
