APT seeks loan, plans share issue to raise funds for 5G launch

Asia Pacific Telecom (APT) is seeking funds to support its 5G network deployment. The operator is also preparing for the 5G spectrum auction scheduled for December, Taipei Times reports. According to company chairman Lu Fang-ming, APT has already secured a syndicated loan of TWD 7 billion (approximately USD 223.29 million) for 5G spectrum acquisition. The statement was made at the company's annual general meeting in Taipei.
