Arcep authorises fixed LTE project in French Guiana

French regulator Arcep has given its green light to a project that aims to bring fixed LTE services to eight municipalities in French Guiana, located in under-served areas. The deployment will be carried out by Veldissmo Telecom using 1,800 MHz spectrum awarded to Outremer Telecom. The two operators submitted a joint demand to the regulator to enable Veldissimo to access a portion of Outremer's frequencies for a period of three years.
