Arcep awards first 3.5 GHz licence under new drive to boost broadband speeds in rural France

French regulator Arcep announced that Covage subsidiary Sem@fibre77 is the first operator to be allocated spectrum in the 3.5 GHz band following the decision to issue regional licences for fixed LTE services offering speeds of at least 30 Mbps.
