Arcep consults on redrawing fibre deployment boundaries

Friday 1 November 2013 | 14:20 CET | News
French telecom regulator Arcep has opened a public consultation until 18 November on a proposal to adjust to the boundaries between very densely populated areas and less densely populated areas for FttH rollouts. The change is intended to satisfy the authority's objectives of regional development and increased competition in the interest of consumers and business end-users. The draft decision that Arcep is submitting to consultation thus proposes removing the most sparsely populated municipalities and those where FttH deployments have not yet begun from the list of very high density areas.
