Arcep consults on synchronisation requirements for networks using 3.4-3.8 GHz frequencies

Monday 13 May 2019 | 10:55 CET | News
French regulator Arcep is seeking stakeholders' views on a draft decision detailing the synchronisation requirements for licence holders using 3.4-3.8 GHz spectrum, in order to avoid interference between networks. The measures are scheduled to come into effect in mainland France from July 2020 and will enable the coexistence of existing services on these frequencies with new 5G networks expected to launch commercially next year using part of the 3.5 GHz band.
