Arcep opens consultation on fixed telephony market analysis

Thursday 1 June 2017 | 10:17 CET | News
French telecom regulator Arcep has opened the fifth cycle of market analysis of the fixed telephony market by publishing a document open to consultation until 27 June. The regulator aims to update the current regulatory framework through to 2020 and seeks stakeholder views on a number of issues relating to the wholesale and retail access to fixed telephony services. In its overview, Arcep highlights that one of the key changes affecting the market in the coming years is Orange's project to phase out its switched telephone network, which will be carried out in three main stages.
