Arcep renews warning over scarcity of IPv4 addresses

Monday 1 July 2019 | 17:57 CET | News
French regulator Arcep has published its latest analysis on the transition to IPv6 in France, warning that the current pace of progress may be insufficient to address the shortage of IPv4 addresses. This renewed call for action is based on the prediction that the available pool of these addresses is expected to run out in Europe by mid-2020, or eighteen months earlier than Arcep's earlier prediction.
