Arcep reviews barriers to open internet on end-user devices

Tuesday 30 May 2017 | 10:19 CET | News
French regulator Arcep has published an analysis on how end-user devices and their operating systems are limiting the right to access a neutral internet, open to all contents and services. Following a first phase of work and interviews, the document aims to map the main types of barrier to a fully open internet on a wide range on connected devices, including smartphones, games consoles and smart TVs. In its conclusions, the regulator says that more work is needed to progress further with its investigation.
