Arcep to produce quarterly mobile network investment report

French telecom regulator Arcep has started producing an observatory of mobile operators' investments, after digital economy minister Fleur Pellerin in October 2012 expressed the government's wish to see the creation of an "observatory of mobile network investment and deployments". Arcep has been collecting data on operators' annual investments for many years as part of its observatory of electronic communications in France. This shows that mobile network investments reached EUR 3.4 billion in 2012, up on 3 billion in 2011 and 2.2 billion a year earlier. The authority now needs more specific
