Arcep urges action to accelerate transition to IPv6

French telecom authority Arcep published its latest dashboard on the transition to IPv6 in France, showing that the majority of industry players have made insufficient progress in addressing the shortage of IPv4 addresses. For example, the regulator pointed to the findings from domain name registry association Afnic, showing that only 18 percent of the 3.5 million websites with .fr, .re, .pm, .yt, .tf and .wf domain names were IPv6-enabled as of August.
