Argentina extends LTE phone access plan until January

The Argentinian government's plan to make available low-cost LTE-enabled smartphones has been extended until January due to the success of the first phase of the campaign, reports local daily La Nacion. The 'Mobile Internet Access Plan' was launched in July, with the three operators that signed up to the plan – Movistar, Claro and Personal – offering a number of handsets for ARS 2,200 in up to 12 interest-free instalments in a bid to boost 4G adoption across the country. Eight new handsets have been added to the plan, including the LG K4, Huawei Y3 II and Samsung J1 Ace, with the government
