Argentina launches tender to provide Wi-Fi via Ka-band

Argentina's Ministry of Modernisation has launched a public tender to provide, install and implement Wi-Fi hotspots in 200 locations, with data transmitted via satellite using the Ka-band. The tender for the ARS 12.2 million contract was published in the country's official gazette, with the ministry specifying that each hotspot should guarantee download speeds of up to 15 Mbps and upload speeds of 3 Mbps, with the provider supporting monthly limits of 10, 20 and 50 GB.
