Argentina regulator publishes pay-TV regulations

Argentina's National Agency for Communications (Enacom) approved the General Rules of the Subscription Services. In order to be a pay-TV provider, it is necessary to obtain the Argentina Digital Single License and the authorization for providing services in at least one coverage area. The regulation allows that pay-TV providers can use IPTV technology. In addition, it requires that a free-to-air signal is available for the channels of Radio Television Argentina (RTA) and all broadcasters of the federal government, provincial government, the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and Argentina
