Update: 4 August 2020 | 08:53 CET
Arianespace said that it was forced to halt the final countdown of the VA253 mission before liftoff on 31 July, due to an unexpected technical issue. Additional operations are now required on the Ariane 5 rocket, involving the replacement of a sensor, which are expected to take several days. A new target launch date has been set for 14 August, although this could be brought forward to 13 August if progress allows. The mission had already been postponed in July because of the need to perform further technical checks.
