Arianespace said it successfully launched India's GSAT-11 telecom satellite on 6 October, on the same day it also sent Australia's Sky Muster II into orbit. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) chose Arianespace for the launch in September. Carrying 12 transponders in Ku-band and another 24 in C-band, GSAT-18 will provide telecom services for India once in its final orbital position (74 degree East), strengthening ISRO's current fleet of 14 operational satellites.
