Arianespace launches Sky Muster and Arsat-2 satellites

European satellite launch company Arianespace has announced the successful launch from French Guiana of the Sky Muster and Arsat-2 satellites aboard an Ariane 5 rocket. The high-capacity Sky Muster satellite, originally called NBN Co 1A, was built by Space Systems/Loral (SSL) and is designed to deliver broadband services to more than 200,000 rural and remote Australians, providing coverage to the entire country, including the Norfolk, Christmas, Macquarie and Cocos islands. The Arsat-2, meanwhile, was entirely developed by Argentine company Invap and is the second of three geostationary
