ARM revenues up 26% in Q3, sees strong year-end

ARM reported another strong quarter of results, as it expanded its processor designs into new markets for connected devices. Revenues rose 26 percent from a year earlier to USD 286.7 million, with a record 48 licences signed in the quarter, 11 of which with new customers. The company's operating margin improved to 48.6 percent from 44.6 a year ago, and pretax profit rose to GBP 68.3 million from 55.3 million. EPS improved to 3.44 pence from 2.96. ARM's said its licensing backlog rose 3 percent sequentially to a record level, setting it up for another strong quarter of licensing revenue in Q4.
