Around 4,300 smartwatches sold in Netherlands in 2013

Around 4,300 smartwatches were sold in the Netherlands in 2013, according to GfK figures reported by Tweakers. Around 3,000 of those were sold in the last few months of the year. According to research by Telecompaper, 12 percent of Dutch consumers are interested in smartwatch, and 26 percent expect to buy one within the next year. Especially users of BlackBerry and Apple phones are interested in the new devices, while Nokia users are less keen.
