Around quarter of Americans lack home broadband, nearly half say it's due to cost - survey

The share of Americans with home broadband has risen to 77 percent in early 2021 from 73 percent in 2019, according to the latest survey by Pew Research. Still, around a quarter don't have broadband at home, and 45 percent say that's because internet service is too expensive. Another quarter said that broadband is not availanle in their area, or not at an acceptable speed.
