Arqiva launches Arise News on Freeview

Arqiva has launched the Arise News channel in SD on Freeview channel 136, using the MPEG-4 DVB-T2 broadcasting technology. The global news and entertainment channel will be available to viewers with within the coverage of Arqiva's new HD multiplex, around 72 percent of the population. YouView, BT Vision and TalkTalk TV homes within the coverage area should also be able to watch the new channel. Arise News broadcasts 24/7 on cable, satellite, internet and mobile around the world, celebrating diverse communities and cultures, including all that is African and 'Afropolitan.'
