Arris posts strong Q3 with profit more than doubling

Arris reported third-quarter revenues of USD 1.405 billion, up from USD 1.068 billion a year ago thanks its takeover of the Motorola home business. Net profit rose to USD 0.37 per share from USD 0.12 a year earlier, and adjusted EPS more than doubled, to USD 0.81 versus USD 0.39. Profits were better than expected and revenues at the high end of Arris' guidance. The company ended the third quarter with USD 599.1 million of cash resources, after operating cash flow of USD 81.9 million in Q3. The order backlog was worth USD 594.1 million at the end of September, down from USD 787.6 million three
