Arris Q4 results fall less than expected

Arris reported fourth-quarter revenues down to USD 1.102 billion from USD  1.263 billion a year ago. The company said sales were in line with expectations, as a result of stronger CCAP E6000 sales, as well as the full year impact of R&D tax credits passed in the US in December. Adjusted net profit fell to USD 0.62 per share from USD 0.78 a year earlier, including a 14-cent benefit from the R&D credits. Reported earnings dropped to USD 0.20 per share from USD 1.29, better than expected thanks to the R&D credits. Arris ended the year with a back-log worth USD 715.8 million and said it achieved
