Arsat-1 satellite already at 80% capacity

Wednesday 18 November 2015 | 15:14 CET | News
Argentina's Arsat-1 geostationary satellite is already at 80 percent capacity, having secured 100 customers since its launch in October 2014, reports local daily Tiempo Argentino, citing Arsat CEI Matias Bianchi. The satellite, entirely developed by local company Invap and built by Franco-Italian aerospace manufacturer Thales Alenia Space, will generate revenues of around ARS 480 million (USD 47 million) in 2015, said Bianchi, adding that the recently-launched Arsat-2 was currently at 30 percent reserved capacity.
