Arte launches programming in English, Spanish

Franco-German TV channel Arte has added English and Spanish-language programming as a free service financed by the European Commission. The channel will produce a dozen hours of quadri-lingual programmes a week, including popular shows 'Tracks', 'Arte Reportage' and 'Metropolis'. Arte aims to become a truly European cultural channel and to reach a bigger public. The Spanish and English versions are available at Arte's local websites as well as on the Arte.tv and Arte+7 VoD platforms. They will be extended to connected TVs by the end of the year.
